Under the guidance of artist Georgina Espasa (Mapping Home) and artist Camilo Baquero Burgos (Trashumantes Verlag) participants created texts, collages, and book objects that make visible their individual and collective experiences. Through bodywork, creative writing, and bookbinding, a safe space was formed in which memories could be shared, translated, and transformed into art.

During the presentation, excerpts from the book will be read, visual works displayed, and the creative process introduced. The focus lies not only on the finished work but on the act of collective creation itself – on encounter, empathy, and dialogue between languages, cultures, and life stories. Freiheitsgedanken is aimed at all those interested in art, migration, memory culture, and participatory practices. The event invites reflection on freedom as a creative and communal act – on how remembering can become a place of connection and resistance.
