A Picture Book Journey
An educational project facilitated by the Spore Initiative
A Picture Book Journey is an educational project facilitated by the Spore Initiative in Berlin. Through the use of multilingual picture books from around the world, it supports work in schools and other educational institutions.
The project aims to encourage reflection on the content and perspectives portrayed in children's books. Furthermore, it seeks to promote the use of alternative and foreign-language picture books and contribute to a political and aesthetic education. A Picture Book Journey also provides an opportunity to develop a robust network of educational multipliers.
The project offers workshops for school classes, as well as training courses for teachers and other educators in Berlin and throughout Germany.
These can take place at the Spore Initiative's premises in Berlin or in schools.
