From October to December 2025, GeKo (Gesundheitskollektiv Berlin e.V.), in collaboration with a group of migrant women of diverse backgrounds from Aki e.V. and IBBC e.V., presents an interdisciplinary art project intertwining writing, embodied expression, and book art.
Colombian art mediator Camilo Baquero, founder of the publishing project Trashumantes, joins as guest artist, guiding participants through a collective creative process. The project engages with notions of belonging, migration, and self-representation. Through practices of embodied writing, poetic reflection, and bookbinding, personal narratives are transformed into tangible, sensorial forms.
Continuing their collaborative journey, the group builds upon their previous project Mapping Home, in which they charted emotional connections to their living environment, Neukölln – a poetic cartography of memory and identity.
Together, Mapping Home – Part II and Trashumantes open spaces where art becomes a medium of listening, solidarity, and empowerment.
