This series with Sofia Burchardi is an introduction to the creative use of natural materials for children. They will learn how to easily make different tools themselves. Playfulness and the desire to discover should determine and support the learning process. Through individual projects and exercises, the children will develop their inventiveness and deepen their knowledge of nature.
Together, we will discover raw, natural materials in our local parks, gardens, and forests that can be used for making pigments, ink, brushes, stamps, or stencils. None of the materials and tools for the workshops are prefabricated, encouraging the children’s imagination and joy of experimentation, and leading to unique results and experiences. We get closer to the nature around us, discover it, and learn to better understand and appreciate it.
