What does it mean to tell stories through threads?

In this workshop, inspired by the book Loose Threads, we will learn the basics of Tatreez, a traditional Palestinian embroidery technique. The geometric patterns and symbols are much more than decoration: they carry meanings, stories, and connections between people and places.

Together, we will explore simple embroidery stitches and traditional patterns and try them out ourselves.

The workshop will be facilitated by Marina Witt from the Spore team and Ismail El-Hassan.

For families and children aged 6+. This workshop will take place in German.

Registration required: mariela.n@spore-initiative.org. Max. 12 participants.
