The transformation of food systems is a global challenge, but the solutions start locally.
Designed for students and youth organisations concerned with food and agriculture, Seeds of Change explores how communities can transform food systems from the ground up to be more sustainable, healthy, and equitable. Participants will learn practical organising tools, hear inspiring real-world success stories, and collaborate on creative solutions they can implement in their own contexts.
This hands-on workshop is led by changemakers who mobilize their communities in Nigeria, the Philippines, and Brazil, to make real progress towards stronger and more sustainable food futures in their part of the world. Their work ranges from transforming urban foodscapes to fostering food-security on small islands and strengthening women’s rights to land ownership and agricultural production.
The workshop is a product of the Humboldt Residency Programme 2025 on the topic “The Future of Food”. You can find out more about the programme and the participants, who will be leading the workshop sessions, online.
