The vine has borne fruit, and it's harvest time. Soraia, a young girl, cuts herself. Blood mixes with wine. A black bull is on the loose. Up in the oak trees, time swells, and a community takes shelter.
Fire of Wind, by Marta Mateus, gathers different communities on top of oak trees, reflecting on the intricacies of coexistence while unearthing the history of the peasant struggles in Southern Portugal.
This closing screening is an invitation to listen to each other's experiences, sharing stories, feelings, and thoughts, and of celebrating the potential of cinema to summon moments of encounter, imagination, and weaving alliances.
Please join us for a gathering after the film screening and feel warmly invited to bring related stories and experiences to share in the conversation.
