Preservation of cultivated plants and free exchange of seeds.
Behind the Spore house, a learning garden is being created. This garden follows agroecological ideas and practices that evolve from collaborations and dialogues with different Spore partners. The Spore garden is about caring for the diversity of soil life, cultivating companion plants, pollinator-friendly meadows, the hedge as a habitat for birds and insects, seed sharing, preserving old varieties of crops, composting methods, traditional knowledge of medicinal plants, adapting to periods of drought, and the principles of a forest garden.
We invite anyone interested to attend our weekly meetings. Those who attend the meetings regularly will gain insight into the basics of nature-based gardening over the course of the gardening year. In addition to the practical work in the garden, we invite people and groups to share their knowledge and experiences on individual topics. We show films on individual aspects of the garden and organize workshops with Spore partners from the Global South.
