At a time when ecological destruction, social inequality, and political repression are intertwined across the world, a critical ecological perspective is more necessary than ever. At the center of this event is the European Ecological Movement of Kurdistan (Tev-Eko) – a movement that aims to anchor ecological principles in everyday life, make ecological struggles in Kurdistan visible, and build strong international networks of solidarity. Importantly, Tev-Eko sees ecology as inseparably linked to the struggle for social justice and the liberation of women.
In our event, we will also present the book “Üçüncü Doğa” by Güner Yanlıç. The book analyzes the struggle for ecology as a comprehensive resistance against capitalism and exploitation. Yanlıç is one of the important voices of the ecological movement in Turkey and Kurdistan. His work sheds light on ecological destruction, political irresponsibility, and systematic exploitation – especially in Kurdish regions – thus bringing attention to issues that are often invisible or suppressed.
We invite you to an inspiring event on ecology, resistance, and international solidarity that aims to make visible the perspectives, analyses, and visions of the struggle of the ecological movement in Europe and Kurdistan – in this common fight for social and ecological justice.
