The evening begins with the MezoAndes Ensemble at 19:00, a new group managed by Music For Identity. This innovative formation explores the resonances between Mesopotamian and Andean traditions, blending melodies and rhythms into a unique soundscape that connects continents through music.

At 19:15, the spotlight turns to the Kurdish Music Collective Berlin, performed together with the Music For Identity team and participants from our ongoing workshops. Musicians, singers, and dancers of all ages and backgrounds join forces to present Kurdish songs, improvisations, and rhythms. The collective embodies the spirit of community music, where professional artists and participants create side by side.

At 20:30, Govendaki – Kurdish Dance Group brings the energy of traditional circle dances to the stage. Their performance highlights the communal joy and deep cultural meaning of Kurdish dance, inviting the audience into a shared experience of rhythm and movement.

Finally, at 21:00, the DJ Set & Open Dance Floor transforms the concert hall into a space of celebration. Traditional Kurdish govend dances meet contemporary beats, encouraging everyone to join the circle and dance together.

Stran & Govend is more than a concert, it is a celebration of Kurdish identity, resilience, and creativity, showing how music and dance can bring people together across borders and generations.
