The Solidarity Bazaar draws on the historical complexities of the bazaar as a relational space where local and informal practices, storytelling, and transcultural ties intersect, while also acknowledging how such spaces are shaped by inequalities, migrant and working-class labor, and layered histories of colonial influence.
The Solidarity Bazaar is a nod to this entangled space of knowledge from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Northern and Central Asia. It brings together (diasporic) grassroots initiatives and communities from these regions to connect and share resources, practices of care, memory and resistance.
