Launching in summer 2024, the Garden Kitchen serves as a practical learning space. The aim is to come together, exchange ideas and share knowledges through preparing, cooking, and eating together. Some of the ingredients will come directly from the Spore Garden, some will connect participants to other geographies and to the people who produce the food. In this kitchen, conviviality, different food traditions, stories and memories will be combined with the kitchen as a political space. The joy of good food cannot be separated from the question of food sovereignty, the preservation of biological and biocultural diversity, the knowledge and dignity of agricultural work, and the working and living conditions of those who work for us in the fields and in the kitchens.
