RE3XISTENCIAS is a festival of film, video art, and expanded audiovisual practices whose curatorial program, KURATOR RE3X, draws on more than ten years of experience between Colombia and Germany. It continues the work of KURATOR REX, which ran for five consecutive editions at Panorama Colombia in Berlin (2015–2019), and of its ongoing Expansiones Videocráticas (2019–2026), with their curatorial screenings, artistic exchanges, laboratories, community projection mapping, and public interventions. The 2026 edition takes place within Sin Temer: Rematriaciones y Re-existencias.

Las abuelas de piedra y otros seres entre vitrinas y territorios: El dilema de Preuss
The day opens at 1 pm with its main film, Juan José Lozano’s Esculpir el tiempo, followed directly by a 90-minute Circle of Words and Listening with the filmmaker, delegates from the Yanakuna and Misak Misak peoples, the Rematriation Oversight Group, and Posmonumenta.
Across two archive selections, Posmonumenta and Sin Temer revisit El dilema de Preuss and La reinvención del pedestal vacío, along with the contested histories of displaced ancestral beings and colonial monuments. Navegantes Existenciales brings works by Sandra Rengifo, Río Truena, and Ricardo Moreno back into dialogue, and when Rengifo presents her two works, Kostas Tsanakas joins her to discuss their collaboration on them. Suza Husse shares her artistic research on mineral beings and exchanges in Colombia, while five short audiovisual contributions from an open call thread through the day.

RE3XISTENCIAS audiovisuales: Ausencias, retornos y paisajes en aparición
The day’s main film, Juan José Lozano’s Chiribiquete, begins at 5 pm in a special 60-minute version with English subtitles. Alongside it are Christian Díaz Orejarena’s Revisión remix re-existencia and a full one-hour screening by Watching You Lab / Videocrática, while Gabriel Rossell-Santillán presents Los Lobos (16′43″) and joins a 45-minute Circle of Words and Listening.
The program moves between Tulcán, San Agustín, and Chiribiquete, linking these distinct places through a curatorial itinerary without claiming that they form a single archaeological corridor. Along this route, it considers ancestral territories as well as the landscapes of remembrance in Colombian cities. A brief selection from the Posmonumenta archive accompanies Díaz Orejarena’s audiovisual inquiry into participatory research and community struggles, as does a second territorial selection that screens before the main film. The Watching You Lab / Videocrática screening brings together citizen filmmaking, La lucidez del paisaje, and community photonic muralism on streets, facades, and memorial sites. Five further short contributions from the open call link the individual sections.
Foyer · Participatory installation, open throughout both days
Alfabetización sensible: Alfabeto rematriativo is a continuous, self-guided installation that opens on Sunday. Visitors of all ages, from children and young people to adults, can activate posters and poetic phrases through augmented reality and draw, write, and reflect on silhouettes of the Grandmothers of Stone. With permission, selected contributions may later be digitized and incorporated into community photonic muralism and projection mapping. The installation also offers contextual material on memory, territory, and rematriation, as well as up to three 360° viewers with earlier immersive works by Posmonumenta and Videocrática.
