for children
in German
The workshop is part of the Series "A picture book journey".
As part of the Picture Book Journey project, we will present the book ÇEM JİYANÊ NEXŞ DİKİN – RIVERS WEAVE LIFE during this training session and discuss how such a publication can be used in groups. This cultural tool invites us to become more aware of water and the water stress of the creatures that depend on it. Our goal is to expand our knowledge of water in everyday life.
Our guests Rita Fürstenau, publisher and illustrator, and Lotta Schäfer from the Spore Initiative will talk about the creation of the book. It was published in Kurdish with texts by Şermin Güven and Dilber Hema and wordless illustrations by Narges Mohammdi. A German translation, numerous activities in other languages, and more background information can be found here.
In addition, Rita Fürstenau, who has many years of experience with picture books and their use in the classroom, will show us other picture books for use in groups.
Registration is required at mariela.n@spore-initiative.org
