This input is giving Black and afro-diasporic perspectives on the history of herbalism. How were plants used in (pre-colonial) traditional ways, in abolition struggles and how can we reclaim this knowledge for community care today?
Part of colonization is the destruction of knowledge-systems, which includes plant medicine and the way we engage with the environment we are part of. During this workshop with Abeni Asante we will discuss which plant-based practices are out there and what benefits they carry.
The Decolonial Plant Tour on Sunday, 27th of August is part of this event.
The workshop is for BIPOC FLINTA* participants only.
