A Potter's Tale – Book cover
Ramu Velar

On the first day, 'Kinship with Clay', we will focus on discovering and experiencing clay in different forms.

Through simple hand-building exercises, we will observe how the clay behaves, how it responds to touch and how it transforms through our hands. We will become friends with the material.

On the second day, 'Making a Vessel', we will focus on our relationship with form. We will learn how to make a small vessel — an object that is more than just a container. A vessel can hold water, food, memories, stories and relationships.

Drawing inspiration from the book A Potter's Tale, published by Tara Books in India, we will celebrate clay as a way of maintaining connections with matter, others, and what we create together.

All ages are welcome, in German, in English. No previous experience is required.

Marina Witt from the Spore team will facilitate this workshop.
