in German/in English/in Turkish
This workshop explores the emotional layers of migration and belonging through creative, embodied practices. Rather than debating integration in the abstract, we practice inclusion together, guided by a simple idea: home is not a border, but a feeling.
In a world shaped by migration and displacement, many of us live with in-betweenness: between languages, places, and versions of ourselves. Through personal storytelling and artistic expression, this workshop opens space to explore what belonging can mean, and to nurture empathy, healing, and community.
The workshop is aimed in particular at people with a migrant background, students and people with experience of living in the diaspora. It is intended as a space for anyone who lives between cultures or feels ‘in-between’, and who wishes to explore issues of home, belonging, migration, multilingualism and cultural identity.
Please bring along something (an object, a song, a picture, a recipe...) that symbolizes home or belonging to you.
No registration needed.
The workshop is facilitated by Nuran Gündüz and Ilknur Agirbas.
Ilknur Agirbas works as a facilitator at Space 2grow, leading workshops for women with a migration background. At Interkular, she serves as a contact person for open counseling services, providing dedicated guidance and support to individuals.
Nuran Gündüz is a storyteller lingering on the outskirts of German and Turkish society. She likes to interrupt her own thoughts to interrogate themes of migration and diversity. She is currently holding workshops across Berlin and Brandenburg and works to empower women through literature.
