On this panel discussion, activists from Berlin-based collectives fighting for social justice and liberation will exchange with invited climate activists from the Global South/Global Majority on organizing and practicing solidarity across different struggles. Speakers are Zukiswa White, Gina Cortés Valderrama and Jessika Khazrik. The panel is moderated by Sheena Anderson.
With global climate apartheid, wars, genocides and the precarization of life, our cross-movement solidarity and coalitions need to be strengthened! Join us for this urgent debate! Bring your unquietness, rage and visions. We are eager to exchange with you! We will close the evening with great food and music at the terrace (weather permitting).
*This panel is a part of a larger activist gathering happening over the weekend.
In collaboration with Black Earth Kollektiv.
Black Earth is a Berlin environmental and climate justice collective by and for people who experience racism in Germany. We focus on linking racism, colonialism, imperial power mechanisms, capitalism and the climate crisis. We fight intersectional oppression and work in solidarity with Most Affected People and Areas (MAPAs), also those based in Germany and the Global South/Global Majority.
Curated by Isadora Cardoso (PhD student at FU Berlin/minor cosmopolitanisms research training group and member of Black Earth collective). Facilitated by Tatu Hey (Black Earth Kollektiv), Sheena Anderson (Black Earth Kollektiv) & Gina Cortés Valderrama (collective of the Colombian diaspora Aluna Minga in Munich)
