As a practitioner, we invite empowerment trainer and political educator Farina Aigbedion. Farina has worked with Black children for many years and designed the first Afro hair workshops for children and young people in Berlin three years ago. Black children and their companions learn all about the care, hairstyles and history of Afro hair. Afro hair is our crowning glory and we want to empower each other to wear it with pride. Afro hair is a highly sensitive topic, especially for children and adolescents, linked to questions of belonging and self-worth. We will therefore demonstrate techniques and share knowledge, empowering participants to care for and learn to love their own hair and the hair of their children.

The workshop is aimed at Black children aged 7 to 13 and their parents and companions.

Places are limited. Registration at: zumunchi_berlin@posteo.de
