At the center of the gathering is kısır, an affordable vegan bulgur salad that almost nobody makes alone. Participants prepare it together, eat together, and talk openly about their lives, about where they belong, and about how they look after each other. The project takes up the humorous, defiant spirit of "We already lost çiğ köfte to men; we are not giving up kısır," following how a cultural practice changes hands while insisting that trans people keep space for their own care, solidarity, and continuity.

The kitchen works as a site of collective production, storytelling, and mutual support, and the whole process of gathering, cooking, and talking is documented on video, so that individual accounts accumulate into a shared memory. The event speaks directly to Spore Initiative's values of cultural activation and ecosocial reflection, treating food not only as sustenance but as a means of gathering and a form of trans solidarity.

The gathering is open to members of the trans community. If you would like to join, please register in advance by emailing participate@spore-initiative.org.
