After the inspiring kick-off meeting of the local network group of the Community Music Network Germany at the Landesmusikakademie Berlin in June, we’re now entering the second round – this time at SPORE in Neukölln, in cooperation with Music for Identity.
Community Music is far more than just a buzzword: it represents an open, inclusive and collective music-making practice that encourages people to become active creators, make their voices heard, and build connection through music. Many of us are already working in this way – whether in education, social work, cultural projects, or as freelancers.
The network provides a space to make these approaches visible, to learn from one another, and to build new connections. At this second gathering, we want to carry forward the impulses that have already emerged, present projects, strengthen synergies, and explore together how Community Music can become even more deeply rooted in Berlin and Brandenburg.
We invite everyone who works with people through music – in schools, initiatives, the independent scene, or cultural institutions. Everyone who feels drawn to making music together, or who is curious to learn more about Community Music, is warmly invited to join too.
Let’s continue building together so that Community Music grows in our region, becomes more visible, and brings people into resonance with one another.
The event is for free.
