How do you create a sense of belonging?
This multisensory workshop aims to empower adolescents and young adults to take back control of their narratives and their autonomy over their bodies, especially in environments where they often feel unwelcome.
Through a series of creative and physical activities, participants explore questions about their family histories, their identity, and their self-image. How have these changed over the course of their lives? Can they build new forms of based on their current lives and who they are today?
The workshop is designed for young people, aged 12–16, who have migration histories. Guardians are welcome to attend. The workshop is facilitated by Laveria Mwai and Elizablessing Njenga.
