Spore hosts: Beads of Wisdom

Beadwork is the art or craft of attaching beads to one another by stringing them onto a thread or thin wire with a sewing or beading needle or sewing them to cloth. In this workshop Stella Sandow will introduce us to the art of beading. We will learn how beads are not mere accessories, but they embody cultural, spiritual, and social significance. They can be worn to communicate various messages, ranging from social status to age, or to reflect the wearer's connection to ancestral spirits. Join us for beading together and exploring our connectedness.

The workshop is multigenerational for everyone aged 7 and up.
