Our partner city Dêrik is building a village in the surrounding area for people displaced by the Turkish state and Turkish-state-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) from Afrin and Sheba (Northwest Syria). We want to support the construction of the village. We invite you to a solidarity evening organized in collaboration with the Rojava community.
The evening is organized on a donation basis. We welcome every donation for the village in Dêrik. The donations will be used to meet the basic needs of the people on site. Please check for more info our website.
The program, starting at 5 pm, will include the following contributions:
— Poems by Nezir Melle in Kurdish and German
— Live painting by the renowned artist Lukman Ahmad
— Auction of the live-painted artwork and other pieces by Lukman Ahmad
— Discussion about Kurdish art with Lukman Ahmad and Znara Ahmed from Dêrik
— Musical accompaniment, information table, and buffet for donations.
