Nah am Wasser

Launched in December 2023, Nah am Wasser is an intergenerational year-long program that delves into the river Spree’s complexities as a habitat, “resource”, symbol, and force. Until March 2025, Nah am Wasser will transform Spore’s studio into a platform for solidarity and cultural production across age, language, ability, and heritage divisions of its participants. Drawing on the Aesthetics of the Oppressed, a method developed by Augusto Boal and Barbara Santos, as well as on Airton Krenak and Antonio Bispo dos Santos, the project aims to break down strategies of oppression that prevent people from creating, producing or making decisions.
