About SoliSur: SoliSur was born as a grassroots migrant political collective. We are here resilient, rebellious, and joyful, to organize our rage and defend the joy of our people. From the heart of the diaspora, we raise our voices against the colonial systems that continue to oppress our territories, bodies, and identities. We recognize that gender, like many other tools of domination, is a colonial construct imposed to divide, control, and erase the ancestral and fluid ways of being that have always existed in Abya Yala. At SoliSur, we fight to deconstruct these imposed norms and to reclaim our right to live, love, and express ourselves in every color, every place, every form. We are not only resisting, we are creating. Through grassroots organizing, we amplify silenced voices, build collective power from below, and cultivate spaces where diversity is not just tolerated but celebrated as sacred. In the face of hate, we respond with memory, community, and creation. Because defending LGBTQIA+ lives, rights, and dignity in Latin America is not only a political act, it is a celebration of life itself.
