all ages welcome
all languages welcome
We invite you to assemble for a communally made version of a hotchpotch, a multi-veggie one pot hearty stew*. While reconnecting to the pluri-versions of such dishes and the passed-on know-hows they carry within, we will discuss the labor behind food, seasonality and dis/connections with the earth.
We gather as a temporary community to share affects, make microbial and bodily knowledge exchanges on eating and food practices that we care about, and find languages to echo our dish. Together with Jasmina Al-Qaisi we reflect on the role of eating and cooking collectively sharing regional, seasonal and geographical strategies, joys and refusals.
We encourage participants to stay the entire time. The dish will be veggie only and the event is multilingual. If you have any vegetables in your kitchen, please feel free to bring them.
To participate in the communal cooking session please register by sending an email to: marco.c@spore-initiative.org.
