For the first edition of Listening in Common, we will listen to excerpts from The Commons with Peter Linebaugh, an episode of The Dig in which host Daniel Denvir speaks with historian Peter Linebaugh about the long history of the commons and the forces that have sought to dismantle them.

The evening is part of Listening in Common, a series of collective listening sessions at Spore Initiative facilitated by Baldeep Kaur and Marco Clausen. The series explores the histories and possible futures of the commons through podcasts, shared listening, and conversation.
We will listen together in person and then open up the room for an informal exchange – thoughts, questions, associations, and connections to the present are all welcome. No prior reading, listening, or specialist knowledge is required. Just come along, settle in, and spend the evening with us.
