Klangwellen Georgiens invites you to a diverse evening that brings Georgian culture to life in all its facets. In an interactive workshop, participants will be introduced to the Georgian language and script—one of the world’s oldest writing systems. They will have the opportunity to write their first letters and words, discovering the unique aesthetics of this language.
Another key part of the program is an introduction to the current political situation in Georgia. We will explore the social and political developments shaping the country and provide space for discussion and exchange. Through poetry, literature, and music, we will experience how language forms identity and gives voice to resistance. To conclude, we will offer Georgian wine and traditional snacks, provided this is permitted on your side. Additionally, we are collecting donations: All proceeds from the evening will be forwarded to support injured or imprisoned individuals in Georgia.
