We warmly invite you to the finissage of Zwischen Tür und Zukunft, featuring an artist talk moderated by Lena Whooo, followed by a panel discussion with guests and the exhibition’s curators.
Arin Ismail and Kim Diana Vu will discuss their works, focusing on their individual artistic processes, how they developed their pieces, and the decisions behind their choices of materials, forms, and aesthetics. This conversation will offer the audience an opportunity to understand the layered context in which the installation was conceptualised and created.
Following the talk, Diane Izabiliza and Saida-Mahalia Saad will moderate a panel discussion with participants Dr. Susan Neiman, Dr. Kathy-Ann Tan, and Salber Lee Williams, exploring questions central to the exhibition:
How can a more just future be imagined?
What visions of community, safety, and the future emerge when reflecting on the effects of racism and antisemitism in German history and seeking ways toward a nurturing life?
To close this project, we would like to collectively imagine futures built on solidarity rather than exclusion. Let us reflect on social issues, exchange, and consider how safe and meaningful coexistence can be envisioned and created.
During the Q&A session at the end, the audience is warmly invited to share questions, thoughts, and perspectives.
