Nardi, also known as Backgammon, is one of the oldest board games in the world. It remains a beloved pastime across the Middle East, Asia Minor, and the Caucasus. From young to old, people gather outdoors to play, especially in good weather. It's a game that fosters both quiet concentration and lively conversation.

For Armenians, Georgians, Kurds, Greeks, Turks, Assyrians, Alevites, Persians, and others, the sound of dice rolling on the board is more than a game—it's a form of meditation, a comforting rhythm of shared heritage. In times of migration, we often miss those familiar sounds and the simple joy of people coming together around the board.

To celebrate this cherished tradition, we’re hosting a Nardi Game Night in the backyard of Arakil and Spore. It’s an open invitation to gather, play, watch, and connect through a game that transcends borders.

Bring your board—or just yourself.
Let’s celebrate this common cultural thread together.

Date: June 28
Time: 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Location: Backyard of Arakil & Spore
