Este año AQUItheater cumple diez años. Diez años de encuentros, de cuidado y de compromiso, diez años de trabajo artístico y sociopolítico, y queremos celebrarlo junto a ustedes.
AQUItheater fue fundado en Berlín en 2016 por la artista chilena Lorena Valdenegro. Nos concebimos como un laboratorio de investigación para las artes escénicas que une el teatro físico y la danza, y que a partir de esa unión abre espacios para la creación artística, el pensamiento político y la reflexión compartida. En el origen estuvo el deseo de tener lugares donde mujeres y disidencias de género pudieran partir de sus propias experiencias, perspectivas y cuerpos, tanto en lo artístico como en lo social. Hoy somos once mujeres y disidencias de género con trayectorias biográficas y artísticas muy distintas, y lo que sigue en el centro de nuestro trabajo es crear espacios seguros donde quepan el empoderamiento, el cuidado colectivo y la expresión artística.
Para este aniversario les esperan presentaciones artísticas, un recorrido por nuestra historia, acciones participativas y alguna que otra sorpresa. Nos hace mucha ilusión compartir este momento con ustedes.

This year, AQUItheater celebrates its tenth anniversary. Ten years of encounters, care and dedication; ten years of artistic and socio-political work. We would like to celebrate this milestone with you!
Founded in Berlin in 2016 by the Chilean artist Lorena Valdenegro, AQUItheater is a space for artistic and socio-political work. We see ourselves as a research laboratory for the performing arts, combining physical theatre and dance to create spaces for artistic work, political thought and shared reflection. Our starting point was the desire to create spaces where women and FLINTA* individuals could draw on their experiences, perspectives and bodies, both artistically and socially. Today, our team comprises eleven women and FLINTA* individuals with diverse biographical and artistic backgrounds. We remain committed to creating safe spaces where empowerment, collective care, and artistic expression can flourish.
To celebrate our anniversary, we have prepared artistic presentations, a retrospective on our history, participatory activities, and a few surprises. We very much look forward to sharing this moment with you.
