This creative workshop about visual storytelling, led by artist Sofia Burchardi, is for school classes and is divided into two sessions. It integrates the power of oral storytelling, reading and imagination through literature in the Spore Initiative spaces.
Through the presentation of selected contemporary picture books, Sofia Burchardi will work with the Class 2A from the Karl-Weise-Schule in Neukölln to explore new narratives in word and image.
Under Sofia Burchardi's guidance, the children will be invited to immerse themselves in the world of reading images through a variety of playful and creative activities such as body movement through playful games, drawing and painting with natural pigments, and the practice of oral storytelling.
The class will work with the following picture book:
Discórdia / Nanni Braunini / Pato Lógico Publishing
Discórdia is a visual narrative about the polarization of opinions in today's world and the need to build bridges of understanding that help us live in community.
It all begins with a minor disagreement that escalates into a deafening rage, drawing in unyielding supporters from both sides until an irresolvable dispute arises that no argument can overcome.
Does the one who shouts the loudest win, or does everyone lose?
Closed event with Karl-Weise-Schule.
