As part of a collaboration with the International Literaturfestival Berlin, we are glad to welcome author Sid Sharp and a Berlin primary school class in our library on Sept 15th´. The event is not open to the public.
“On one of her walks, the kind-hearted Beatrice meets the fabled Bog Myrtle, a sinister forest creature. But soon she discovers that Myrtle is far less frightening than rumor has it—Myrtle even offers Beatrice her magical yarn to knit with. When Beatrice’s grumpy sister finds out, events take a turn for the unexpected—even without magic. Quirky and whimsical, this fairy-tale graphic novel explores how consumerism and exploitation harm both our society and the natural world”.
