The KMZ KOLLEKTIV shows fragments of their award-winning production ‘Kaffee mit Zucker?’, inviting the audience to a conversation. Based on two everyday life products, coffee and sugar, this evening deals with German immigration stories in Central America and their colonial continuities. This performative conversation takes form out of coffee, candy floss, biographical material, historical facts, video fragments, and live music.
The KMZ KOLLEKTIV is a performance group consisting of Laia RiCa, Antonio Cerezo, Yahima Piedra Cordova, and Daniela del Pomar. Many of us come from Latin America. We all live in Berlin. Our performances are based on the performative and historical research of a specific material, which we understand as co-protagonist and which is interwoven with biographical and documentary elements, with live music and live-produced visuals.
