Asmelash Dagnes is working in East Africa to share practices and knowledge to address the impacts of the climate crisis. During the workshop, he will give an overview of his work in Ethiopia, and we will gain practical experience on how to apply this knowledge and practices in small gardens in our region. We will focus in particular on the question of how we can use water carefully in the garden and how water can be stored in plants and soil in view of the increasing periods of drought also in this region.
Asmelash Dagne is an expert on sustainable management of integrated natural resources with15 years of experience in the field. He has a diverse educational background including a Diploma of Integrated Natural Science, Bachelor of Natural Science (Chemistry), Diploma of Permaculture Design, and Master of Science in Environmental Resources Management focuson utilizing solar technology to ensure sustainable access to clean water, energy and food in East Africa.
