The festival of the dead is the largest and most important popular festival in Mexico. According to ancient Mexican belief, the dead come to visit from the afterlife on All Saints' Day and celebrate a contemplative and joyful reunion with the living with music, dancing and delicious food. Colonial and pre-Hispanic cultural traditions come together in this special encounter between life and death.
A plentiful ofrenda (altar) for the deceased, in which everyone can participate, awaits the guests. Theatre, performance and live music take up the central themes of death, memory, and colonialism.

Fiesta del día de muertos en México
La fiesta del día de muertos es la fiesta popular más grande e importante de México. Según la antigua creencia mexicana, los muertos vienen de visita desde el más allá y celebran un reencuentro contemplativo y alegre con los vivos con música, bailes y deliciosa comida. Las tradiciones culturales coloniales y prehispánicas se unen en este encuentro especial entre la vida y la muerte.
Una abundante ofrenda a los difuntos, en la que todos pueden participar, espera a los invitados. Teatro, performance y música en vivo retoman los temas centrales que son muerte, memoria y colonialismo.
Muchas gracias por el gran interés en el Día de Muertos de este año. *Desafortunadamente *todas las plazas están ya ocupadas y no podemos aceptar más inscripciones.
